Lazarus Brewing Co. is one of Austin’s newest brewpubs, located on East 6th & Chicon, in the heart of Austin’s emerging beer scene. We are a small-batch, urban brewery that is focused on bringing people together through excellent coffee, quality food, and great beer. We believe in Story and Adventure, and we think this is your chance to get in on a great one. 

We are currently accepting applications for full and part time positions:

FRONT of HOUSE

Bartender / Barista

This is a hybrid position that requires food service experience along with strong knowledge of craft beer AND/OR specialty coffee. Applicants are not required to have knowledge or expertise in both categories (although it certainly helps). Qualifications include:

  • Moderate to strong knowledge of craft beer (including beer styles, brewing methods, flavor and evaluation, as well as process and ingredients).
  • Strong knowledge of specialty coffee (including processing and roasting methods, flavor and evaluation, brewing methods, and origin profiles).
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a craft beer retail establishment, brewery environment, and/or specialty coffee shop. 
  • A passion to learn and to be part of a team that emphasizes friendly, quality driven service in a neighborhood environment.
  • Current TABC and Food Handlers certificates
  • People skills! After all, we believe beer and coffee are about the people more than anything else. 

Barback / Food Runner

  • No experience necessary. But you must be hardworking, dependable, and a great team player.
  • Current TABC and Food Handlers certificates

BACK of HOUSE

We are looking for dependable, hard-working, passionate individuals who want to be part of a family owned and operated neighborhood business. Applicants are not required to have experience in creating exceptional Mexican food (but it will certainly help). Positions include:

Kitchen Supervisor

  • 1-2 years experience supervising in quality kitchens
  • Knowledgeable about different cooking techniques (roast, fry, grill, saute)
  • Strong knife skills
  • Experience ordering and receiving goods
  • Current food handler's certificate

Line Cooks / Food Prep / Tortilleras

  • At least 1 year experience cooking
  • Good knife / griddle / prep skills -OR-
  • Proficient with making flour / corn tortillas from scratch
  • Current food handler's certificate

Dishwashers

  • Knowledge of dish machine usage and basic safety and sanitation procedures
  • Current food handler's certificate
